Increases Homeowners Insurance Costs & Limits Coverage
California homeowners are already struggling enough. AB 1642 by Assemblyman Harabedian is an extreme and unworkable proposal that would impose new red tape that drives up homeowners insurance costs statewide, and further limits consumer access to coverage. At a time when millions of Californians are already struggling to find and afford coverage, we shouldn't be passing legislation that makes insurance even less affordable.
We need solutions that make insurance more affordable and help families rebuild—not legislation that further drives up insurance costs for everyone, delays wildfire recovery for victims, and makes our insurance crisis even worse.
